DIY face masks for healthy, gorgeous and beautiful skin

Don’t spend your time and money at your local spa. The secret to great skin is right in your kitchen! Pamper yourself with these simple, homemade facial masks. These DIY masks are wonderful for a variety of skin issues—from dry, cracked cheeks and dull foreheads to acne breakouts. I would recommend using organic ingredients whenever possible, as the skin on your face is thinner than other parts of your body and can soak up toxins much more easily.

 

Banana Facial Masks for glowing skin

Banana facial mask can be used as all-natural, homemade facial mask that moisturizes your skin and leaves it looking and feeling softer. The preparation is simple and results are great. Mash up a medium-sized ripe banana into a smooth paste, then gently apply it to your face and neck. Let it set for 10 to 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.

 

Vinegar Facial Masks for cleansing and tighten your skin

Use vinegar as a skin toner. Make the vinegar solution by solution mixing 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with 2 cups water.  After you wash your face, use the vinegar solution as a finishing rinse to cleanse and tighten your skin. You can also create a homemade facial mask by mixing equal amount of vinegar and water.  Gently apply the solution to your face and let it dry. Then rinse it off with water.

 

Yogurt Facial Masks for cleansing your skin

To cleanse your skin and tighten the pores, put some plain yogurt on your face and let it sit for about 20 minutes. For an uplifting facial mask, mix 1 teaspoon plain yogurt with the juice from 1/4 slice of orange, some of the orange pulp, and 1 teaspoon aloe. Leave the mixture on your face for at least five minutes before rinsing it off.

 

Milk Facial Masks for rejuvenated skin

Make a mask by mixing 1/4 cup powdered milk with enough water to form a thick paste. Apply the paste to your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes or until its dry and then wash your face. You can also use mike to wash your face. Use the cotton to put it on your face and leave it until it’s dry. Wash it with cold/Luke warm water. Your face will feel fresh and rejuvenated.

 

Lemon Facial Masks for exfoliates and moisturizing your the skin

Create the facial mask by mixing the juice from 1 lemon with 1/4 cup olive oil or sweet almond oil. It exfoliates and moisturizes the skin.

 

Oatmeal Facial Masks to heal eczema and acne breakouts 

Oatmeal is great for soothing rough, and helps to heal eczema and acne breakouts. Paired with honey and yogurt, it’s a calming and revitalizing mask for all skin types. Use oatmeal facial mask for a quick pick-me-up that will leave you feeling and looking better. Combine 1/2 cup hot (not boiling) water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons honey. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. (Be sure to place a metal or plastic strainer in your sink to avoid clogging the drain with the granules.)

 

Cucumber mask to soothe skin

This is a great mask to soothe the skin, be it from over-weathered winter, razor or any other roughness. The cucumber lessens redness and provides moisture to dry, sensitive skin and the yogurt acts as a moisturizer. Take 1/2 a cucumber, peeled cucumber and make a pulpy mixture in the blender. Add 1 tablespoon full-fat yogurt to it. Apply evenly over the face, and leave on for 10-15 minutes and wash it with warm water.Oatmeal is great for soothing rough, and helps to heal eczema and acne breakouts. Avocado Mask for Dry Skin

This is a great mask for dry, peeling and scaling skin. The avocado and coconut oil provide replenishing moisture, while the honey helps to heal any chafed or raw areas. Mix 1/2 a very ripe avocado, 2 tablespoons honey and 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil until its smooth and creamy. Apply to your face, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water.

 

Papaya Mask to Brighten Aging Skin

Papaya is rich in antioxidants. It contains enzymes that help to slough away old, dry skin cells for a glowing, healthy complexion. Mix 1/2 a ripe papaya(peeled, seeded, and sliced), 1/2 teaspoon honey and 1/4 teaspoon lemon or lime juice in the puree form. You can use the blender if necessary. Spread over your face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse your face clean, and see the difference yourself.
